Well I will be honest, I first joined this site because of the test. I think I am addicted to them, most of them seem amazingly accurate, except for the career one, it said I was most suited to be a politician, that could not be more off, I abhore them, oh well have to take it over. Then I noticed that there are a lot of very attractive girls on here, so thought I would just give it a shot. I don't really know about this hole internet dating thing, but I pretty much have given up the club and bar scene.

Well a little about me, I am very laidback, and easy going, love to read, I will read anything. I love the outdoors no matter what activity; hiking, kayaking, running, moutain biking. I recently hiked a section of the vermont long trail, it was great, I definitly plan on doing the entire thing, maybe this summer. I would also love to hike the entire A.T. someday. I've been lucky and will say that for the most part I've had a pretty blessed life. Get to travel a lot, still. Not the best travel sometimes, but can't complain. Military takes care of a good portion of it now, but I get my share out of the deal.

I'd have to say most of my friends would say I have a easy-going and shy personality but once you open me up I become a party animal. I just recently moved here to Alaska. I'm up for doing anything. Where to start, where to start. I guess the first thing you should know about me is that I was stolen from the hospital at the tender age of 12 hours and raised by yeti's in the himalayas. When the yetis figured I had learned all I could from them they turned me loose. After walking through the mountains for a few minutes I stumbled on a shaolin temple. The Gung Fu masters decided to train me in the culinary arts after hearing my fierce yeti yell. I had some wacky adventures with the Dali Lama which I don't care to share with you at the moment and after a few years found myself in Alaska and a little homesick.

Alright, so, I just got a job in Anchorage, which means I'll be moving from Phoenix, Arizona to Alaska! It'll be a jarring shift in polarity, at least in terms of weather, but I've needed a change like this for some time.

I'm a journalist, and that's all I'll say about my job. Well, okay, I'll say a little more. I love journalism, especially since I love writing and have always wanted to find a steady job in which I could apply that skill. I'm also totally in love with reporting, especially when I get to shed light on issues that aren't given the coverage they deserve.

I like to read, I like to write, I like to ponder and I like to question. I love animals! I also like going on adventures! I'm looking forward to hiking some trails and doing some outdoorsy stuff when I get to Anchorage in January. You can't really do as much of that in Phoenix, what with our barren desert and the constant threat of being eaten by sand worms.

I enjoy geekery as well, from vidja games to fantasy and science fiction and everything else that's nerdy! The only nerdy thing I don't enjoy is math. Well, that and being a social cripple, but I actually have social skills so yay!

This is not all there is to me, but I can't think of anything else because I have an assignment that's due in three hours, and if I don't turn it in, I'll fail the course! Yay!

I'm a rare one...a lifelong urban Alaskan. Not a lot of niches for a true townie in Alaska, but I've managed to do thoroughly, even to the point of working in office buildings and walking to work in both Anchorage and Juneau. Not that I'm unaware of Alaska issues - I've traveled all over the state, been out to the villages from Pt Hope to Metlakatla. I never quite know what to say to summarize myself. I mean, really? What constitutes a summary? There are a multitude of things which could help define me as a person, but it's so hard to narrow down that list. Oh, here - when I was six, and again when sixteen, I fell off my bike face-first. New to life in Alaska and loving it! I moved here with an awesome opportunity to care for my 2 cousins for a year or maybe 2 until the youngest goes to school full time. So as you can see, I love children, but do not have any of my own yet. So, for now that is my job. My previous job was as a Licensed Massage Therapist. I practiced for 7 years in AZ. I can't wait to try it all! I am a very happy person and am almost always smiling. I work hard and play even harder. My relationship with my ex-husband is still great(no drama there). Meh, I like to go to the mall, I like shopping. Outdoorsy stuff, I'm into snowboarding, biking, skateboarding, hiking, and fishing. Indoor stuff, I like gaming and sleeping and eating. also cooking.

I like to be outside and just chill sometimes. Looking up at the stars and wondering what the fuck am I doing here? Why am I alive. But I never figure it out, so I live to have fun. Whatever I do, I do it because it makes me happy. I roll around in grass. I play guitar. I eat chocolate. It's all good.

I have removed the text from my profile. While I regret the ambiguity that blank fields present, it is preferable to the content that once occupied them. Most of the information was inaccurate or misleading due to the literal years between its creation and now (2/19/08). In addition, the narcissistic and disaffected tone of my writing was immature, to the point of becoming an embarrassment.

What can I say about me? I am a true Capricorn. I am a what-you-see is what-you-get. I am true to myself and to others. I am honest, too honest for my own good sometimes. I do have to admit that I tend to say what I think, no holding back. I am a go-getting, work hard for what I believe in. When I love, I love hard with all my being and unfortunately...I fall hard too and find it hard to get back up! Above all, I am someone that can be counted on and I am faithful and expect that in return. I am told I am a strong man and yes that is what I let people to see, but inside I sometimes don't feel that strong and need someone to hold me and reassure me.

So what does this man want? I want a woman that will love me whole-heartedly, no lies, no secrets, no pretending to be what I want or to get what you want from me. I refused to be used and need a woman who is confident. She does not need a sugar daddy but a man to love them. Don't compare me to you ex because no one will ever measure up once you go there. I am unique and want to be loved for me...not an unreasonable image. I need a woman to listen to me, sometimes I just need to work out my own problems outloud...I don't need a woman to try to fix them for me (unless I ask of course for advice).

I love trying new things, but will not be forced to do so or to comply when it is something I don't like or believe in...I am a fighter. But never been in a relationship were we ever had fights. I am spontaneous and want a partner to who is also able to spark a little fire as well. I have a warm heart and things can get a bit heated and passionate.

I hate to admit it that I am almost 40 years old, I have been through 1 divorce and don't have experience in the dating world. I can count all my relationships on one hand...my longest being 17 years. I have a child a teenager...and thank goodness, no grandchildren. I am comfortable with who I am, what I like and what I need. Maturity has never been an issue for me...I am mature beyond my years. But if you ask me...I will tell you I am only 29!
